I’m Dave Meadows, an Adelaide-based BBQ enthusiast, creator and community volunteer. What started as a love of cooking eventually became something much bigger when I began using BBQ to cook for people experiencing homelessness and doing it tough.

That experience eventually led to The Smoke & Soul Project — a 59-day journey around Australia with my wife and two young daughters, using BBQ to bring people together, give back and hopefully spread a little hope and happiness along the way.

I’ve learned that BBQ might be what I love doing, but bringing people together and doing some good is what gives it purpose.
