About Ribfest

When the Adelaide Cup long weekend rolls around, the tantalizing aroma of barbecued ribs fills the air, drawing the local community of foodies and BBQ enthusiasts to the annual Ribfest. This mouth-watering festival is a celebration of all things barbecue, with a wide variety of rib flavours, brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends on offer, among other delectable dishes.

But Ribfest is more than just a food festival. It's an event that brings together friends and family to enjoy good food, music, and company, all while supporting a great cause. Each year, a non-profit, not government funded local charity is selected to receive the proceeds raised from the festival. This means that every bite of succulent BBQ goodness goes towards making a real difference in the lives of those in need.

As you sit and soak up the festival, your senses are bombarded with the sights, sounds, and smells of BBQ heaven. The air is thick with the scent of smoky meat. It’s all about ribs with sticky, tangy sauces. The sound of sizzling meat is accompanied by the thumping beats of DJs, who keep the party going all day long.

But the real stars of the show are the ribs. From classic BBQ ribs to the most innovative creations, there's a flavour to suit every taste bud. You can sample them all, or choose your favourite and savour every bite. And if you need something to wash it all down, there's a wide selection of hand-crafted beers, ciders, and cocktails to choose from.

But Ribfest isn't just about eating and drinking. Each year, Pit-masters compete in the BBQ competition, and fight it out in “The Battle for the Golden Tongs”. The competition is fierce. But win or lose, they all share a love of good food and a passion for giving back to the community.

Ribfest is an experience. It showcases the magic of BBQ, the best ribs, tender brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends, all while supporting a great cause. It's a festival that has grown in popularity, and one that leaves lasting memories.
